Preparing for installation
- Ensure heat and power are on for at least 24 hours prior to installation
- Prepare a space for materials to be delivered
- Ensure that hardwood has acclimated before installation
- Remove furniture, decor, and appliances from installation area
- Remove breakable items from installation area
- Make parking arrangements for the crew if you live in a community
- If painting or applying wallpaper, finish up before your flooring installation
- Keep leftover flooring materials in case you need to make repairs in the future
